How to choose the right flashlight

A device such as a flashlight should be at hand for every person. It can be useful not only for hiking or hunting trips, but also in ordinary everyday situations. Currently, buying a flashlight is not difficult.

They have different properties and performance characteristics, which makes them significantly different from each other. The main thing is to be able to make the right choice by finding a flashlight in this whole variety that will best cope with the tasks assigned to it. In order to do this, you need to focus on the following parameters.

- Type of flashlight. Currently, it is customary to distinguish two main types of these devices — LED and lamp models. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. LEDs have a long service life. They are capable of working over fifty thousand hours. It is much more difficult to break an LED than a lamp. Its advantages also include higher power, compact size, the ability to adjust brightness, cost-effectiveness and ease of focusing. The only negative of the LED is the worst color rendering (in some models). Incandescent lamps are less economical and durable. They are more fragile, but at the same time provide better color reproduction.

- Light power. The best option is 30-100 lumens. This type of lighting is sufficient to perform ordinary household tasks. There are also more powerful flashlights. In them, the luminous flux can be up to 300, and sometimes 500 lumens. This light is enough not only to improve visibility, but also to dazzle the animal (hunters).

- The building. It is most often made from light metals, in particular aluminum, which is not afraid of rust, is light, strong and very inexpensive. Plastic cases are less reliable. However, they have a better appearance and are more pleasant to use.

- Power supply. There are two main options here: battery and batteries. The first one has a longer service life, but it needs constant recharging. As for the batteries, they allow you to take a flashlight with you even to places where there is no outlet. In addition, they are more suitable for those people who do not use a flashlight all the time. In such situations, the battery may fail, and buying a new one will be very expensive.

- Impact resistance and water resistance. These parameters are especially important in cases where the flashlight is planned to be used during fishing, hunting, hiking, etc. app for sale
